No Regrets

Our neighbor is in hospice care and her family has been staying with her for weeks.  Each Sunday I try to cook a meal and drop it off.  This week I decided to try an old family recipe.  As I was walking across the street to drop off the meal no one was watching Rufus and he served himself dinner.  He has no regrets.  The chicken and rice were quite tasty!  The only plus side to Rufus serving himself is that he does such a good job that you hardly need to wash the pan.  I should know better than to try and leave a dish out in the kitchen.  I had the Pyrex up and I really didn’t think he could reach it.  I was wrong…

I have the traditional pork roast with sauerkraut in the oven this afternoon to bring us good luck in the New Year.  I will definitely be keeping an eye on the crazy beagle today!
