Dinner on the Porch

Riley can’t eat with the Big Dogs.  He is a slow eater and he gets sidetracked.  In the past he has lost several snacks because he walks away and assumes the snack will be there upon his return! This “little” 70 pound dog can be quite the fighter when he gets mad!  He doesn’t like anyone with 4 Legs coming near him while he enjoys dinner.  He does however need someone with 2 legs to sit near him while he eats.  Oh dear…I believe the term “high maintenance” was coined because of Riley’s eating habits!

Last night I was just too tired to wait for the Big Dogs to eat so Riley and I enjoyed dinner on the porch.  He loved laying down next to his plate.  He sometimes likes to take a break and since Rufus was in the house he could eat at his pace and savor each piece.  I think he was also taunting Rufus just a little bit as Rufus was peeking out the window shocked that Riley was eating outside!

That little face is just priceless.
