How Conversations with my Dad Go:
Dad: Can I borrow your truck?
Me: Of Course.
Dad: Great I will be over. I need dirt.
Me: Do you need help moving the dirt?
Dad: Well if you are Free that would be great.
Three hours later Riley and I have spent the afternoon at my parents house planting new bushes. We lucked out and my dad overbought so we are bringing some new plants to our house! Score!! It was a little too hot for Riley so he ended up inside with Grammie and enjoyed all of her leftovers from the weekend. Don’t tell the Big Dogs!
At the end of the three hours there was still a substantial amount of dirt in the truck. And here is more of our conversation…
Me: That is a lot of dirt leftover.
Dad: It’s not leftover. You need dirt at your house in the backyard.
Me: I do?
Dad: Yes…I’ll Show You
And now it looks like we buried dead bodies in the backyard! Apparently my dad noticed that the yard is settling where the borough installed new drain pipes and we needed to fill it in with dirt. Our next project is to get some grass seed out there before it rains and becomes a mud pit for the Four Legged!
Nothing to see here…just a big pile of dirt…we didn’t bury any bodies. I promise!
