The Midnight Barker

Perhaps if we weren’t in the backyard at midnight barking like a madman we would not still be in bed at noon!

Perhaps if we didn’t make mom have to get dressed and go into the backyard and drag us in at midnight we would not still be in bed at noon!

I have no idea what was going on in the backyard, but Rufus was in rare form and even once he came in the house he refused to go to bed.  I tried to remind him that it defeats the purpose of protecting the house if I have to go into the backyard to bring him back in!  Rufus continued to pace in the kitchen and look out the door.  I could here his paws on the windowsill throughout the night.  I eventually fell asleep without him in bed so I have no idea what time he finally gave up.  This morning he is curled up with his blanket dead to the world!

I suggested going for a walk since multiple people have commented on his weight, but he gave me the look of death and rolled back over.
