I had a helper for about an hour and then I asked “How Much Candy Have You Had?” When Riley realized I was not going to let him eat anymore candy he quit! Spring Deliveries for the Troops have been crazy this week. Normally we work in the basement, but since it was just Riley and me I decided to fix the donation bags in the kitchen.
Riley has never been a fan of basements. When you adopt from a shelter you never know the “real story.” All I know is that whatever happened to him involved a dog bowl and a basement. He is terrified of both. Riley drinks water out of a Tony the Tiger toddler bowl that we safeguard with our lives as it is the only bowl at the house he will use. I have tried multiple times in the past 11 years to get him to come downstairs, but he won’t even try. So he just hangs out on the first floor of the house and that works for me!
Riley loves helping, candy, and plastic eggs so he was in “puppy mode” yesterday! We had about 200 bags that needed adjusted for shipment. After several hours I had to run the finished care packages to the post office. He was less than pleased since I put boxes on his seat and he had to stay at the house. Such a character!
