The Post Office closes at 12pm on Saturdays. Considering we are up everyday by 6am you would think we could wrap one box and make it 3 minutes down the road…At 10:30am this was our situation!
In all fairness I did ask them to help wrap the box. I don’t know why they are so fascinated with wrapping paper and tape? What should have been a 5 minute job turned into a 45 minute job because Riley broke the tape dispenser and Bailey would not give me the brown paper! Thankfully I was paying attention because Riley took the blade off of the dispenser and that could have been a disaster! Poor Keith is going to receive a gift with a lot of dog hair, teeth marks, and love.
I found the Vtech Learning Sit & Stand Walker on clearance for $15 and even though you are not supposed to use it until 9 months I decided to send it now because Keith is trying to stand on things that are not designed for that use. His Mickey Mouse Walker is for 6+ months, but he started using it about 6 weeks ago. While reading to him via Skype about Groundhog’s Day he was scooting backwards. The book was pretty bad so that might have given him motivation! Reading to children is so important, but I think we might have lost a few brain cells with our last book. Even Rufus left the room around page 6. Aunt Summer has to redeem herself with a knock-out this coming week!
After a long battle with the brown wrapping paper Riley helped run the box to the post office. As I paid the postage I realized it would have been cheaper to book a Southwest Flight and take the toy with me!
