Game Day

I do love watching my nephews play college football, but I really don’t follow the NFL.  The Steelers have a HUGE game today so I am off to work in a few hours because I am one of the only ones that does not mind missing the game.  Riley is ready for Game Day!  He is heading to Grammie & Big Ed’s house for the afternoon.  He even found his Steeler Bandana to cheer on the Black & Gold!  I didn’t give him a big breakfast because I have a feeling they will be spoiling him with treats all afternoon!

Rufus is under the weather this weekend.  I didn’t realize something was wrong until I was loading the dishwasher and he didn’t get off of the couch to help.  His ear was bothering him Friday night, but with the snow and cold yesterday I thought his “couch laziness” was just due to weather.  He has two little swollen bumps on the side of his face.  Being the “Beverly Goldberg Smother” that I am I called the vet last night and it could be an allergic reaction, a tumor, or cellulitis.  Since it is not bothering his breathing we will be going to the vet tomorrow rather than the ER today.  He is taking Benadryl and resting.  I will make him some ground turkey when I get home.  There is nothing wrong with his ability to eat, but everyone needs comfort food when they don’t feel 100%.

Bailey has nothing to report.  She has played in the snow all weekend long.  I have to set the timer on the stove to bring her in.  She loves it! This morning I have no idea what she was doing, but she had her head buried in a snowbank and came in with a “snow beard!”
