Of course the year that I bring home two additional dogs is the year that Pittsburgh has a cold winter! Riley is easy to entertain. All he wants is love. You can sit with him on the couch for 20 minutes and he is the happiest dog in the world. If you let him go out front and check the bird feeder he will think he lives in paradise!
Rufus needs a lot of attention. Luckily Santa brought him a puzzle that has been a lifesaver. The puzzle is filled with treats and he has to turn buttons in order to get the bones out. It only occupies him for about 2 minutes, but after he does the puzzle he is calmer and usually just lays down. His personal best time is 41 seconds!
This weather is too cold for the boys. Yesterday we had a “heat wave” as the temperatures hit 25 degrees! We can’t walk in the neighborhood because there is too much salt on the roads and it reeks havoc on her paws. Bailey and I grabbed our gear and headed to Boyce Park. This was her first trip to the park. She had a blast walking the trails, watching the kids ski and rolling through snowbanks. Traffic was pretty busy at the park and apparently there are a lot of dyslexic people because the speed limit is 15, but most were going 51! Bailey is not use to that amount of traffic so we tried to stick to the trails.
Flurries are filling the sky this morning and temperatures are dropping back to the negative. Looks like it will be another day stuck in the house with the Four Legged!
