It is 3 degrees this morning so the Four Legged are stuck inside again! This will be the third day in a row with no afternoon walk and the boredom is overwhelming for some of them…luckily they have plenty of toys to play with! Last night I filled the Kongs with Peanut Butter and Bones which occupied them for about 5 minutes, but it was fun to watch all 3 running around the house trying to get the Peanut Butter from the toy and it wore them out.
Santa brought a bone puzzle to help Rufus with his anxiety. At first Rufus was not interested in the puzzle, but after watching Bailey play with it and see bones pop out he decided to give it a try. That dog figured out the puzzle in about 2 minutes flat! So now we know Rufus is smart…just stubborn! I am supposed to work with him daily to help build his attention span. Did I mention he is a bit high maintenance?
Riley is loving all of the new toys. He selects toys that are “couch worthy” and you are not allowed to put the toys in the basket or he moves them back to where he wanted them and gives you “the look.” Riley also has a beautiful orthopedic dog bed in the family room that he uses to hold toys that are not quite couch worthy, but are too good for the basket. In true Riley fashion he sleeps on the floor next to the expensive bed…
Hoping the weather warms up to at least 20 degrees so that we can get outside a bit more!
