The First Snow

The first snowflakes hit the ground yesterday and keeping with tradition the Four Legged and I “played in the snow.” It was short lived and involved several muddy paws, but we never miss being outside for the first snow! Riley Loves Snow!!  When we get “real snow” I have to set the timer on the microwave for 20 minutes to remind myself to let him back in. If it were up to Riley he would play all day. He likes to have snowballs thrown at him and runs in circles until you participate. I’m thinking Rufus will not take to having snow thrown at him!

The countdown to Turkey Day has started! Riley has filled the big dogs in on the plan for the day and everyone is excited! As I brought the groceries in all of the Four Legged had their heads in bags checking to make sure I didn’t forget anything. While trying to organize the fridge I lost an orange and the bag of cranberries. You can’t turn your back for a second in this house! Back to the store I go…

I have been busy at work and had to set-up a card table in my office for overflow. Rufus does not like the table and is melting down from the door. He could easily sit on the other side of my chair, but as we all know there is nothing easy about the Big Guy! Riley is trying to show him that you can go under the table to get to mom, but Rufus is not having it!

Bailey is in people and candy withdrawal. She only got to visit with one person today and no one gave her any candy. She is really turning on the charm this evening in the hopes that I will sneak her a few treats! With a face like that it is hard to resist!
