Rufus is never up early….ever! Of course this morning when I need him to be in the bedroom so that I can open the door he is up bright and early. I started trying to move him back into the bedroom at 8:30am. At 8:55am he was still in the dining room smiling. I’m not falling for that! 6 snausages later I was able to get him in the bedroom just as volunteers were arriving. He is so dramatic and had his usual meltdown until he could come out to visit with everyone! While “stuck” in the bedroom he sounds like a cross between a dying sea otter and a battling ram. Eventually that door will bite the dust…
The Four Legged love the volunteers because many of them bring treats! Today they enjoyed dog cookies that looked and smelled so good they could have been mistaken for my cookies! Riley, Rufus, and Bailey spent the entire day helping pack holiday boxes. The Big Dogs were up and down the steps at least 20 times. Bailey does not want to miss a second of the action. She is a lover! The Four Legged are going to be bored when we are back to our “usual schedule!”
I just came upstairs to print a few labels and there are candy wrappers on the bed…Bailey has no idea how they got there! She has just been sitting on the couch all day like a little lady. Must have been those boys!
